Police probe Booysen home robbery

Police say they are continuing their investigation into a house robbery at the home of alleged gang boss, Jerome Booysen, in Bellville South.

Spokesperson, FC Van Wyk, says they are still searching for the suspects.

He says unidentified men allegedly entered Booysen’s mansion while he was not present.

Van Wyk says the suspects tied up a female worker who had been at the home at the time of the incident.

Booysen and 11 others are currently on trial in the Western Cape High Court for the 2017 murder of steroid kingpin, Brian Wainstein.

Wainstein was shot and killed at his home in Constantia in 2017.

Booysen’s counsel told the court yesterday that he should leave the trial early due to the robbery.

Police say their probe is continuing into the stolen items at the premises.
