KwaZulu-Natal DA says all sytems go for provincial congress

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in KwaZulu-Natal says final arrangements are underway ahead of its provincial congress set for this weekend.

Delegates will gather at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban to elect its new provincial leadership ahead of the upcoming local government elections.

It’s believed 10 candidates have put their names up for nomination for the deputy provincial chairperson position, a clear indication of a competitive race.

The party says the outcomes will be guided by an internal process it has described as free, fair and open.

Newly elected federal leader Geordin Hill-Lewis and Federal Chairperson Solly Msimang are expected to attend.
