Minister Sisisi Tolashe at a Department of Social Development (DSD) and SASSA briefing.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) says it will lay a criminal charge against Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe at a police station in Cape Town.
The charges relate to the registration of luxury vehicles donated by the Chinese embassy that Tolashe allegedly registered in her children’s names.
This is the second political party to take action against Tolashe. ActionSA MP Dereleen James laid charges under the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act against Tolashe about two weeks ago.
The allegation is that Tolashe misled Parliament when she did not declare the vehicles, which were reportedly meant as a donation to the African National Congress (ANC) Women’s League.
The League has reportedly said it is not aware of the donation.
