NCC’s Adams remanded in custody until 13 May

Leader of the National Coloured Congress (NCC) and MP Fadiel Adams has been remanded in custody until 13 May. Adams made his first appearance in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

He faces five charges linked to the alleged interference in the high-profile murder investigation of former African National Congress (ANC) Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa.

It was being handled by the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).

“Thank you Mr. Adams at this stage, your bail application is going to be remanded until the 13th of May. I will deal with it on that day. The state has been given this opportunity to do all their investigations, and we will proceed with it on the 13th of May.
