NCC leader Fadiel Adams arrives at Pinetown Magistrates’ Court

National Coloured Congress leader, Fadiel Adams, has arrived at the Pinetown Magistrates’ Court, west of Durban where he is set to appear this morning.

He was arrested on Tuesday on charges of defeating and/or obstructing the ends of justice and fraud relating to the murder case of former African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) leader Sindiso Magaqa.

It is alleged that Adams interfered with investigations, when he met with an accused in the murder case – Sibusiso Ncengwa – who had been in custody at the Westville Correctional Service.

Police say the alleged interference involved a convicted hitman at a critical stage of the case.

Meanwhile, Adams’ family – who camped at the Westvile Police Station awaiting his arrival throughout the day on Wednesday – have criticised the lack of communication from the SAPS.
