Antonelli wins Miami GP, extends championship lead

Mercedes Formula One driver Kimi Antonelli converted his pole position into victory at the Miami Grand Prix in the United States.

Reigning champion Lando Norris brought his resurgent McLaren home second after winning the sprint race on Saturday.

Norris’ teammate Oscar Piastri completed the podium.

Antonelli has made it three wins in a row, achieving the same in pole positions.

No other team besides Mercedes have won a full grand prix this season, with Antonelli’s teammate George Russell winning the season opener.

Russell came in fourth with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen crossing the line in fifth.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc came in sixth, losing several positions right at the end of the race, with teammate Lewis Hamilton ending seventh.
