NSFAS branding seen at an Application Outreach Drive
The uMkhonto we Sizwe Party (MKP) has cautioned Higher Education Minister, Buti Manamela, against any political interference in leadership appointments at the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
This follows the recent wave of board resignations, which has once again cast uncertainty over the stability of the student funding body.
The party warns that any moves that undermine governance or shift focus away from supporting students will be strongly opposed, as concerns grow over delays in finalising key executive appointments.
MKP MP, Mnqobi Msezane, says while NSFAS had begun to show signs of recovery, the latest developments risk reversing that progress.
