President Cyril Ramaphosa
President Cyril Ramaphosa has placed National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola on precautionary suspension pending the finalisation of a case he is facing. Masemola is facing four charges relating to contraventions of the Public Finance Management Act. These relate to the contract awarded to “Cat” Matlala’s Medicare24.
The President has appointed Puleng Dimpane as the Acting National Police Commissioner. Dimpane has extensive experience.
