SAFA President Danny Jordaan speaks during a media briefing.
The case involving South African Football Association (SAFA) President Danny Jordaan and his three co-accused has been postponed to the 27th of August by the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court in Ekurhuleni.
They are facing charges of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud amounting to R1.3 million.
This was the third postponement this year in a case that has dragged on since 2024.
Jordaan, SAFA’s CFO Gronie Hluyo, former SAFA Acting Chief Executive Russell Paul and businessman Trevor Neething are accused of unlawfully using SAFA resources between 2014 and 2018.
The case remains in the pre-trial phase as Jordaan and Hluyo are challenging the search and seizure operation conducted at SAFA House in March 2024 and want the matter to be struck off the roll.
