Heavy rain during inclement weather.
The South African Weather Service says residents in KwaZulu-Natal should brace for a cold front expected to hit the province on Friday, bringing rainy and cold conditions.
Weather forecaster Wiseman Dlamini says the inclement weather is expected to persist from Friday afternoon into Saturday.
He has urged residents to remain on alert, particularly in areas prone to localised flooding.
“ We do expect 30% of showers only in the Eastern part of KZN and areas surrounding Umkhanyakude district and most finer weather conditions are expected today. From tomorrow up to Thursday, we are expecting fairly fine weather condition over the province of KZN and without any rain for the whole province up to Thursday. There is a cold front expected to pass through KZN on Friday and resulting in isolated showers and rain over the province on Friday extending into Saturday. Good news, no warnings expected this week.”
Weather forecast for today & tomorrow: 25 – 26 May 2026.
Fine and cool conditions are expected to dominate across most parts of the country. However, isolated showers are anticipated over the north-eastern parts of RSA today, 25 May 2026.#saws #weatheroutlook #southafrican pic.twitter.com/BK7oJbjIiC— SA Weather Service (@SAWeatherServic) May 25, 2026
