March in Durban against undocumented foreigners, 6 May 2026.
Foreign nationals residing along Mahatma Gandhi Road in Durban have rejected allegations linking them to criminal activity.
This follows protests in the city against undocumented immigrants.
The demonstration began at King Dinuzulu Park and is set to proceed to Durban’s South Beach, an area known for a high concentration of businesses owned by foreign nationals.

Abubakar Kasim of Kenya and Roger Mulaja of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have voiced their concerns, emphasising that not all foreign residents should be associated with crime.
One of them says, “Crime is everywhere and I watch Madlanga Commission and they talk about drug cartel, crime syndicate but there is no foreigner that is being named at Madlanga Commission.”
