Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams appears before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee on March 4, 2026.
The family of National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader, Fadiel Adams, and leaders of the party have joined his lawyers at the Westville police station in Durban in KwaZulu-Natal.
Adams, who was arrested in Cape Town, is yet to arrive at the police station where he’s due to be booked.
He is facing charges after allegedly visiting the man convicted of killing former ANC Youth League leader, Sindiso Magaqa.
At this point, it is still unclear clear when he will be brought in for booking.
The police vehicle driving Adams has reportedly reached southern KwaZulu-Natal and is still on the way to Durban.
Adams is facing fraud and defeating the ends of justice charges.
Regarding the fraud charge, it’s believed Adams, who is a Minister of Parliament, allegedly misrepresented himself when he visited Magaqa’s killer Sibusiso Ncengwa while he was in custody at Westville Correctional Facility during his trial.
Police allege he interfered with their investigation into the case when he repeatedly visited Ncengwa and took statements between November 2024 and January 2025.
Adams is to appear in court on Thursday.
