A 39-year old woman was shot and killed in a crossfire when two groups of suspects travelling in separate vehicles opened fire on each other in Epping Avenue near Elsies River on the Cape Flats.
Police spokesperson, Ndakhe Gwala, says a stray bullet hit the deceased.
Gwala says police have now launched a manhunt to capture the killers.
“According to reports, two motor vehicles were chasing each other when a 39-year-old female victim was caught in the crossfire. She sustained two gunshot wounds to her chest, and she was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel. The suspects fled in a blue Polo GTI and a red Polo GTI.”
