A high-level delegation from the African National Congress (ANC) has visited Gqeberha to assess service delivery at the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
The visit forms part of a nationwide programme aimed at monitoring service delivery progress across metropolitan municipalities.
ANC National Working Committee member Mmamoloko Kubayi says the purpose of the visit is to evaluate whether commitments made by the party have been fulfilled.
Kubayi says, “ANC would have committed to its people to say certain things will be done, so it’s part of before we say vote for us again, it will oversee if those things that would have been committed in terms of improving the lives of South Africans do make sense and have been achieved.”
The assessment is expected to inform the party’s approach ahead of future elections and guide interventions where service delivery gaps are identified.
