NCC’s Adams claims his arrest is imminent, accuses Mkhwanazi of involvement

The leader of the National Coloured Congress, Fadiel Adams says he is aware that there is a warrant for his arrest and has accused KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi of being behind his imminent arrest.

He says members of the political killing task team (PKTT) raided a house he used to live in Cape Town early Saturday morning. During a briefing in Parliament, Adams told journalists that members of the PKTT from KZN were sent to arrest him in Cape Town.

He says he warned Mkhwanazi, that if he wants to send him to jail he needs to be transparent about it and not abuse his powers.

“At that stage I still do not know if there is a warrant.  I have made it clear to this man weeks ago if you have a warrant don’t come with drama man. Don’t send rifles into my house. Don’t come and and traumatise my kids which is what the PKTT is known for. I said I will hand myself over. What does he do? He allows it to happen any way. This is intimidation. I am not intimidated. He must understand the difference between him and me I don’t run away from trouble. I will stand my grounds even if I stand alone.”
