Police kill four suspects in Durban hideout


Police in Durban have shot and killed four suspects in their suspected hideout in Bellair.

The suspects were all wanted for business and house robberies and kidnapping.

Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says they were tracking the suspects when they pounced on them in the house, believed to be their hideout.

He says four firearms were recovered from the scene, and that they are still searching for the fifth suspect who got away.

“Their vehicle was spotted, when police tried to stop them, the suspects fled, and they came to this house behind me, which is their hide-out spot where during th operation there was a shootout, they were shot and fatally wounded, two of the suspects were shot in the house, one behind the house and one in the bushes behind the houses”
