Ballistic expert Captain Laurence Makgotloe.
Ballistic expert Captain Laurence Makgotloe has accused an investigating officer (IO) in the Armand Swart murder case of kidnapping, in his testimony before the Madlanga Commission.
The officer earlier testified before the commission as Witness B.
Makgotloe says Witness B wanted him to make a correction on the Swart forensic report.
Witness B previously testified that Makgotloe’s report on Swart’s murder had many errors which had the potential of delaying prosecution.
Makgotloe whose evidence was led by Adv. Teboho Mosikili told the Commission that he was kidnapped at the South African Police Service (SAPS) Silverton premises in Tshwane.
“But looking into the case, the sequence and how I felt about the incident that night, there is only one organisation that I can run to, it’s SAPS and SAPS will follow like any other citizens of the country, will open a case and send it for the decision. Thank you. But at all material times, you were kidnapped at SAPS premises, but anyway, that’s just a comment.”
Makgotloe has concluded his testimony.
A new witness who’s testimony was postponed on Friday will take the stand on tuseday.
