Two of the accused in the Meyiwa murder trial.
The defence in former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial is expected to call a new witness when the trial resumes on Tuesday morning in the High Court in Pretoria.
This comes after Makhosonke Zungu wrapped up his testimony on Friday.
Five men are on trial for Meyiwa’s 2014 murder.
The defence has been calling witnesses who were initially on the state’s witness list but were not called to testify in court.
Zungu is one of the witnesses who submitted a damning statement to the police.
When called by the defence to testify, he admitted to signing the document; however, distanced himself from the contents that allege the accused are known and dangerous hitmen.
