Meanwhile, Disaster Management Centre Spokesperson Tsakani Baloyi says they are only aware of 12 incidents as they are still collating information.
“The Provincial Disaster Management has confirmed 12 deaths due to inclement weather. People are still advised not to cross swollen rivers as it is not safe. On the other area, water supply has been affected where it suspected that infrastructure could have been washed away by heavy rains. The head of the district centers are also on standby to make sure that relevant released materials are available for distribution to affected people,” says Baloyi.
