Albini Girls High in KZN takes first spot in Ndengezi circuit

The Albini Girls High School in Ntshongweni, in the outer west of Durban, is among the rural schools that achieved a strong matric pass rate in KwaZulu-Natal.

The girls’ boarding school, situated in Ntshongweni, achieved a 96.6% pass rate for the class of 2025, making it number one in the Ndengezi circuit.

For the past three years, the school has produced the best results despite being in a rural area where it sometimes goes for weeks without water.

Neighbouring schools in the Ndengezi circuit also performed well.

Wozamoya High School achieved a 90.4% pass rate, improving from 69.1% in 2024.

Thokozamganga High School in the Shongweni Dam area achieved an 84.6% pass rate, a significant improvement from 68% in 2024.
