The driver of the truck involved in a collision that killed five people on the N2 between Amatigulu and Dokodweni on the north coast of Durban this morning has been found dead.
This brings the death toll to six people.
Transport spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya says the driver was found trapped in his truck that was loaded with sugar.
“The RTI teams has just informed the MEC that the search and rescue teams have just found the driver of the truck that was involved in the horrific accident. The driver was trapped in his truck that was loaded with sugar. The driver is unfortunately deceased. The jaws of life are being used to remove his body. The owners of the trucking company are at the scene of the accident. The death toll from this horrific accident has increased to six,”
