Danny Jordaan, co-accused back in Palm Ridge court for fraud charges

South African Football Association (SAFA) president Danny Jordaan and his co-accused are back in the Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Jordaan and SAFA CFO Gronie Hluyo face charges of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud.

It’s alleged that Jordaan used the federation’s resources for personal gain, such as hiring a private security company for protection. It’s also alleged that Jordaan appointed a public relations company following a charge of rape leveled against him.

The director of the company, Trevor Neethling, faces two counts of fraud.

The trio is out on bail of R20 000 and has pleaded not guilty.
