Free State residents can expect severe thunderstorms for the weekend as a series of cold fronts passes through the province. Weather Forecaster Lungile Makondo says cool conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers mainly over the central and eastern parts of the Free State can be expected on Saturday.

Sunday will be cool and windy with a possibility of heavy downpours, strong winds, excessive lightning and the chance of localised flooding.
Makondo says Monday will start off with cold to cool conditions with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers mainly over the central and eastern parts of the Free State.
