Case against AKA murder suspects transferred to Durban High Court


The case against Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, accused in the murders of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, has been formally transferred to the Durban High Court.

The brothers face several charges, including double murder, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.

Forbes and Motsoane were shot dead in February 2023 outside a restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.

The Ndimande brothers will now join their five co-accused in the High Court. These accused are Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi, Lindani Ndimande, Siyanda Myeza, Mziwethemba Gwabeni, and Lindokuhle Ndimande.

The two siblings had abandoned their bail application last week.

The state is expected to present forensic evidence, CCTV footage, and cellphone records connecting the group to the hit in February 2023.

The pre-trial conference is set down for the 19th of June, with the trial set to start in July.
