Spar Netball Proteas squad.
The South African netball team has caused a minor upset in the second round of matches of the Nations Cup tournament in Nottingham. The Proteas beat hosts and the fourth-ranked team in the world, England, 61-59 in a tightly contested match.
The scores were level at halftime and after the third quarter before South Africa opened up a bit of a gap in the final quarter to clinch victory. The Proteas, ranked fifth in the world, are the only unbeaten side in the Four Nations tournament after also beating Uganda 75-40 in their opening match.
Malawi is the other nation competing. The next round of matches will be played next weekend.
