Del Rey lands maiden title at Ras Al Khaimah golf Championship

Spain’s Alejandro del Rey has achieved a maiden victory on the DP World Tour in his seventieth start when he won the Ras Al Khaimah golf Championship by four strokes.

Del Rey shot another 6 under par 66, his third in consecutive rounds, to finish on 22 under par for the tournament.

The overnight leader by two strokes started with three birdies on the first five holes, and followed that up with 3 birdies in a row on the back nine for a flawless round.

England’s Marcus Armitage finished second on 18 under par, after a final round four under par 68.
