Magesi came from behind to beat overwhelming favourites Mamelodi Sundowns at the Free State Stadium earlier this evening.
Sundowns had a bright start but Magesi keeper and captain Elvis Chipezeze made four saves in the opening 20 minutes of the match.
Bafana Bafana forward Iqraam Rayners finally broke the deadlock in the 36th minute to give Sundowns a well-deserved lead.
Magesi retaliated and levelled matters through Tshepo Kakora early in the second half.
Delano Abrahams did the unthinkable scoring the winner for Magesi late in the second half.
Magesi will pocket R6,6 million for lifting the Carling Knockout trophy.
