South Africa’s senior men’s football team has secured top spot in Group K of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Bafana Bafana who qualified for next year’s tournament with two matches remaining, maintained their unbeaten record by beating South Sudan 3-nil in their last group match in Cape Town earlier this evening.

Playing in front of a good crowd in the Cape Town stadium, Bafana opened their account inside the first 10 minutes courtesy of Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Iqraam Rayners.

Orlando Pirates’ Patrick Maswanganyi added a second in the 23rd minute, before Teboho Mokoena converted a penalty early in the second half.

Bafana Bafana’s attention now turns to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers that resume in March next year.
