Bail hearing of NCC leader Fadiel Adams delayed

The bail hearing of National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader and MP Fadiel Adams has been delayed due to his late arrival at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court, west of Durban.

It’s believed the police vehicle transporting Adams to court got stuck in traffic.

Adams has been in custody at an undisclosed facility following his arrest in Cape Town last week.

He’s due to make a formal bail application, an application that the state will oppose.

He’s accused of interfering with police investigations in high-profile assassinations.

He allegedly visited the accused at the Westville prison, posing as an official parliamentary visitor and took statements.
