Livestock vaccinated for Foot and Mouth.
Agri Western Cape says a new case of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) has been detected in Mossel Bay. The case was identified on a small beef farm in Groot Brak. Seven other cases were identified in the Hartenbos area.
Agri Western Western Cape says, in a statement that its officials noticed suspicious lesions on cattle during inspection and vaccination drive.

Samples were then collected and test results received on Thursday confirmed that the case was positive for FMD. Vaccinations are continuing in the region.
