FILE | A vehicle drives on the N3 between KZN and Gauteng
The N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) is urging motorists to drive with caution as strong winds are causing dangerous driving conditions along the N3 toll route between KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and the Free State.
Winds with speeds exceeding 70 kilometers per hour are being experienced in the area.
It’s reported this could lead to traffic disruptions, fallen debris and damage to property.
N3TC’s Chief Operating Officer Thania Dhoogra says, “These conditions are likely to cause traffic disruptions in the area and contribute to hazardous driving conditions. Precautions are necessary for the safety for all road users and law enforcement officials. Please heed all warnings and reduce speed when approaching high-lying areas such as Van Reenen’s Pass. Especially if you are driving a vehicle with high sight, carrying light loads or towing a trailer or caravan.”
