African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaposa has reaffirmed the strong ties between the party and the Gqeberha-based Bantu Church of Christ.
The ANC’s top brass visited the new leader of the church, Mlungisi Bebula, before commencing with the ANC’s service delivery programme it brought to the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
“We’ve come to be blessed. We’ve come to have communion because Bantu Church of Christ is one of the churches we hold in high regard in South Africa. This church has a long history, from the time it was formed. Even before the formation of the ANC that is why the relationship between the two organisations is so close.”
The National Working Committee of the ANC is set to meet with ANC officials and structures from the metro later on Monday.
