Shebe Maburna bail hearing postponed to Thursday

Limpopo musician, Lehlohonolo “Shebe Maburna” Chauke’s bail application has been adjourned until Thursday. Marburna has appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court.

Shebe Maburna wants to be granted bail so that he can seek medical care for his leg injury. He sustained a fracture in a car crash in July 2024.

His medical doctor was also called to testify for him.

Dr Malose Chaba said that Shebe Maburna needs checkups to fix a loose screw inside his leg.

The state is, however, opposing bail. Magistrate Godfrey Netshiozwi has adjourned the ruling until Thursday.

“The state and the lawyer have closed their matter and for that purpose, it implies that both are still tasked with the responsibility to address this court on the merits of the application. And on that basis, both the state and the defence have agreed that this matter should be postponed to the date which has been agreed to, the 23rd of April 2026.”
