Ramaphosa urges collective effort to build inclusive society


President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on all sectors of society to play a role in assisting government to build an inclusive society.

He was speaking at the national Human Rights Day commemorative event in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

The President called upon the business sector to drive inclusive growth and create opportunities for the working class. Ramaphosa says it is the responsibility of civil society to hold leaders accountable.

“The right to freedom must include freedom from poverty, this demands a capable, ethical and developmental state that does not merely promise but performs. It demands leadership that is not content with policy but committed to implementation. a collective responsibility must that we must work together to advance the human rights of all our people.”
