The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) says it will offer live coverage of the Proteas inbound cricket tours from today until April 30 next year.
The SABC says in a statement that live matches will be broadcast on SABC’s TV and digital platforms, which include sabcsport.com and SABC Plus.
SABC 3 will be the primary broadcast platform with sabcsport.com and SABC-Plus also carrying the matches live.
The public broadcaster says this is in line with its strategic objective of making sport available and accessible on various platforms to all South Africans.
The SABC’s Head of Sport, Keletso Totlhanyo says, “We are very excited with this latest acquisition that will enable our audiences to enjoy the upcoming Proteas inbound cricket tours. We would like to also express our gratitude to CSA (Cricket South Africa) for working with us in ensuring that we deliver on our mandate and also our promise to let our audiences have access to the best sports events.”
