Chairperson and commissioners at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria.
Witness F will return to the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry when it resumes its hearings in Pretoria on Wednesday morning.
The commission got off to a rocky start on Tuesday. It explored Witness F’s relationship with suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya and Steve Motsumi, a man believed to own a security company.
The inquiry is investigating allegations of criminality, political interference, and corruption in the criminal justice system.
Witness F’s testimony has revealed how he facilitated meetings between Sibiya and Motsumi.
Witness F, who was essentially acting as a middleman between Sibiya and Motsumi, forwarded and exchanged messages between the pair.
This is not the first time that the commission has heard of Motsumi.
Last week, KwaZulu-Natal Hawks Head Major-General Lesetja Senona’s legal counsel described him as a very dangerous man.
This was before the inquiry made a ruling that his name could be divulged.
