Ballistic Expert Captain Laurance Makgotloe has testified that there were links between the Armand Swart murder case and the Bramley case, where Swart’s alleged suspects were arrested.
Makgotloe, who is testifying at the Madlanga Commission, is one of the ballistic experts who was assigned to Swart’s murder case in April 2024.

Makgoatle was also assigned to the Bramley case
He’s also made no additional linkages with other murder cases.
Makgotloe has alluded to the fact that Witness B and the investigating officer in the matter misread the linkages with additional murders.
“I was aware of this link between the Bramley and Vereening cases because we conducted the ballistics analysis on the exhibits for the two cases. Thus, I’m not certain whether the investigating officers misconstrued the linkages between those two cases to mean there were links with other cases besides those two cases.”
