Gigaba Transnet case moved to Feb

Former Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba’s case has been transferred to the High Court in Johannesburg, where he will appear on February 19.

Gigaba and former Transnet executives Anont Singh, Brian Molefe, Siyabobga Gama and Thamsanqa Jiyane appeared in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court sitting in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court east of Johannesburg, on Friday morning.

They were facing corruption charges linked to Transnet’s multi-billion-rand locomotive procurement.

Gigaba is out on warning while the others are on bail.
