The provision of healthcare services in the Free State has received a major boost.
This as the Free State School of Nursing welcomed almost 400 new students for training.
The students will do a Diploma in Nursing, Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery.
Free State MEC for Health Monyatso Mahlatsi welcomed the intake to help in resolving some of the challenges the department faces.
The Department’s Media Liaison Officer Motale Sebego says, “At the end of the training and resources permitting the intake of these students will go a long way in alleviating some of the challenges that we face. Especially around the acute shortage of labour that we see in all our health care facilities in the province. So, this is a welcoming development.”
