A 30-year-old man accused of killing his sister and burying her body in a shallow grave in KaBokweni, Mpumalanga, is expected to apply for bail in a local magistrate’s court on Wednesday.
Mluleki Nkosi allegedly killed his 44-year-old sister, Sibongile Nkosi, during an altercation last year.
The accused was arrested, and he confessed to the crime. He also pointed out that the shallow grave and his sister’s remains were exhumed.
DNA tests positively identified the remains as those of the victim. The remains were reburied almost a month ago.
The accused is facing charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
