Springbok women celebrate historic World Cup Quarter-Final spot
History will be made during next year’s much-anticipated Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series.
SA Rugby has confirmed that the Springbok Women would meet New Zealand’s Black Ferns for the first time on South African soil.
The match will be a curtain-raiser for the third test of the four-match series between the Springboks and the All Blacks on September 5, 2026, at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
The Springbok Women and the Black Ferns have only met twice before at the Women’s Rugby World Cups in 2010 and 2025, and SA Rugby hopes this Test could kick-start a new rivalry as fierce as any in the women’s game.
