Transport Minister Barbara Creecy is set to launch the 365 Days Arrive Alive Road Safety Campaign for the 2025 festive season, on the N1 near Kroonstad, in the Free State. The province has recorded 23 deaths from vehicle crashes in the last four weeks.
With the holiday season approaching, traffic volumes are expected to increase as many travellers go through the Free State to connect with various other provinces. The minister will reflect on issues around pedestrian safety as well as drunk driving.
