The body of a man has been found in a wheelie bin in Lotus River in Cape Town.
Police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, says that the body had been discovered on Thursday morning.
The circumstances surrounding the incident is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
In Table View, also in Cape Town, a 75-year old man has been killed in his house during a home invasion.
Twigg says that the elderly man’s arms and legs had been bound.
He says that no arrests have been made.
“According to reports, local security found the victim in the house with his arms and legs tied up. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. It is still unclear what was taken from the house. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation,” says Twigg.
