The case against six arrested for the alleged hijacking and murder of Kaizer Chiefs defender, Luke Fleurs, is expected to resume on Friday morning at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court in Ekurhuleni.
Fleurs was brutally killed at a petrol station in Florida, Roodepoort, on 3 April 2024.
All the accused have been charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances, murder and the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
All six accused are expected to return to the dock on Friday. 24-year-old Fleurs was shot dead by alleged hijackers.
Gunmen shot him in the upper body before fleeing the scene in his vehicle.
The National Prosecuting Authority in Gauteng says it believes that they have a strong case against the accused.
