Tap with droplet of water.
Rand Water has reassured Gauteng residents not to panic ahead of planned maintenance programme in partnership with Eskom. The first phase of maintenance will run from 29th of May to the 2nd of June.
Areas in Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni are expected to experience low pressure and temporary water interruptions.
Rand Water spokesperson Makenosi Maroo says the work is aimed to ensuring long term sustainability of water infrastructure.
(So maintenance will happen in different areas, obviously at different times. So, areas will be impacted differently. Some areas will have low water pressure. Other areas will have intermittent water supply for a couple of hours. So, we have communicated with municipalities, and we’ve requested them to share information with the residents. But precisely, the three metros will be impacted. Your Tshwane, your Gauteng, which is Johannesburg, and your Ekurhuleni, the three metros will be impacted, and other smaller municipalities.)
