Orlando Pirates have been beaten 3-0 by the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Saint Eloi Lupopo in the first leg of their preliminary second round of the CAF Champions league in Lubumbashi.
Forward, Wanet Kashala, scored Lupopo’s first goal early on in the match with the hosts scoring two more goals in the second half.
Pirates will host Lupopo in the second leg of their tie at the Orlando stadium in Soweto on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs played to a goalless draw against Simba at the Stade TP Mazembe on Saturday and will look to make amends they play hosts next Saturday at the FNB Stadium.
