Suspended President of Netball SA Cecilia Molokwane
Netball South Africa and its suspended President Cecilia Molokwane, are on a collision course. The federation has distanced itself from a media briefing held by Molokwane in Polokwane, on Thursday.
Suspended Netball South Africa President Cecilia Molokwane has announced that she is returning back to office as the head of the federation with immediate effect, right after resigning as a director at World Netball.

Molokwane, who’s suspended by World Netball pending an investigation into allegations of financial mismanagement and professional misconduct, said she was resuming her duties as president.
Suspended NSA President Cecilia Molokwane says she chose to remain silent to protect players and the dignity of the sport, after World Netball ordered her to step down from her role.

However, Netball South Africa says the federation is a member in good standing with World Netball and Molokwane remains suspended.
The federation and all its stakeholders would be severely affected should World Netball suspend the federation and it will therefore await the resolution of this issue.
World Netball says the findings of the disciplinary investigation into Molokwane’s conduct are with an independent arbitration service and a disciplinary hearing will be convened soon.
