Lioli FC Coach, Bongani maseko says the team is preparing mentally and technically.
The CAF Champions League preliminary round kicks off on Saturday with Orlando Pirates facing off against Lioli FC, the current Lesotho champions, at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
Kick-off is at 15h00 Central African Time.
Lioli coach, Bongani Maseko, says the players are embracing the challenge of facing one of Africa’s giants.
“Our players have responded very well in training. The focus and intensity has been excellent because they know what a big clash against Orlando Pirates it means. We are building momentum and the atmosphere in camp is very positive. Our plan is to make sure we take advantage of every moment of the game and give ourselves a best possible chance going into the second leg,” says Maseko.
He says they are preparing the team both mentally and technically.
“Mentally, we are reminding our players that respect is important, but fear is not,” he adds.
