Pegula beats Swiatek to win Bad Homburg Open title

In tennis news, World number 3, Jessica Pegula of the USA has beaten Poland’s Iga Swiatek 6-4 7-5 in the final of the Bad Homburg Open, in Germany.

The American was looking for her third title of 2025 and after a wobble in the semi-finals against unseeded Czech Linda Noskova, Pegula was in no mood to hang about.

The top seeded Pegula took the opening set against Swiatek 6-4.

This was Swiatek’s first final on a grass court in her career. That was a telling statistic and resulted in Pegula taking the second set 7-5 and the tournament, as she goes to Wimbledon in fine form.
