The curtain is about to come down on the 2024-2025 Betway Premiership campaign as the final six matches will be played this weekend.

The champions were confirmed on Wednesday evening as Mamelodi Sundowns accumulated an undefeated 3-0 win away to Chippa United.

Six matches will be played on Saturday afternoon as teams battle for the top eight positions and to escape the dreaded relegation zone.

TS Galaxy will be looking to consolidate their position in the top eight when they visit Orlando Pirates in Soweto.

The Rockets are currently in fifth position with 34 points from 27 matches, while the Buccaneers have secured second place with 55 points after 24 matches.

Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune United will fight to finish the Betway Premiership campaign in third place so that they can play continental football next season.

Only one point separates the two sides.

Stellies, who are fourth on the standings, will host the struggling SuperSport United, while Sekhukhune will be keen to secure position three by winning their last two matches.

Babina Noko will take on the ninth place whilst Kaizer Chiefs are still battling to break into the top eight bracket.

Amakhosi will be looking to draw some confidence from their Nedbank Cup final win against bitter rivals Orlando Pirates on Saturday as they are in search for maximum points.

Besides facing the tricky Sekhukhune, Chiefs will also have to deal with Polokwane City next week, hoping that the other teams drop some points along the way for them to get into the top eight.

Polokwane City will face Cape Town City, which have been found wanting as they are rooted at the bottom of the standings.

A win for the Limpopo-based side will guarantee them a spot in the top eight bracket, come the end of the season.

But for Cape Town City, it will be a dire situation as they have only 23 points in 26 matches.

In other matches on Saturday, Richards Bay will play against Golden Arrows in a KZN derby and Chippa United will be away to Marumo Gallants.

All six matches will kick off at three o’clock in the afternoon.

The Sundowns vs Magesi match is scheduled to start at 17:30 pm on Sunday afternoon.
